1. Introduction

Introduction

Communication in modern teaching is no longer confined to the classroom or to face-to-face interaction. The development of digital tools has opened up new possibilities, transforming the ways in which students learn, participate, and collaborate. Contemporary teaching encompasses a wide range of communication formats, from synchronous, real-time meetings to asynchronous discussions with time delays; from moderated discussions that maintain focus to open exchanges that encourage creativity. In addition, the integration of webinars with short lectures, as well as the use of microlearning in microlectures and microworkshops, has become increasingly common. The teacher–student–system communication triangle also plays a particularly important role, as achieving balance among these three dimensions enables a more comprehensive and higher-quality educational experience.

Conclusion

Different forms of communication have their advantages and limitations, and the role of the teacher is to recognize how to balance and connect them into a whole. Synchronous communication encourages dynamism and interaction, while asynchronous provides flexibility and space for reflection. Moderated discussion maintains focus, and free discussion provides space for spontaneity and creativity. Webinars enable systematic knowledge exchange, while short lectures and microlearning provide efficiency and accessibility. Ultimately, successful teaching relies on the connection of all actors, teachers, students and the education system, because only by using clear channels and a balanced approach can students achieve the full potential of learning and collaboration.
