Communication in the educational process represents a fundamental dimension of the pedagogical relationship between teachers and students, as well as among students themselves. It involves more than the simple exchange of information; rather, it is a complex form of interaction that encompasses knowledge transfer, motivation, emotional support, and the development of social relationships within the teaching and learning process.

In the contemporary digital context, communication assumes new forms and channels and becomes a key element of effective online teaching. Digital learning environments require teachers to carefully plan communication strategies that ensure clarity, accessibility, and a sense of inclusion. Effective communication in e-learning is therefore not limited to the transmission of messages, but also involves building a learning community in which students actively participate, share experiences, and develop a sense of belonging.

Communication that integrates cognitive, social, and instructional dimensions stimulates motivation and contributes to higher-quality knowledge acquisition. This chapter examines various aspects of communication in digital educational environments, ranging from the selection of appropriate channels and tools to the establishment of clear rules and netiquette, the provision of constructive feedback, the encouragement of collaboration, and the development of an inclusive and empathetic communication culture. The aim is to demonstrate how communication in e-learning becomes a central pedagogical tool and how it contributes to a more effective and humane educational experience.
