In this activity, select one of the offered scientific articles and read it with the aim of analyzing the approach to communication in the educational context. While reading, be sure to take notes on key concepts, models and examples of practice, because the information and conclusions from this text will serve as a basis for later discussions within this e-course and application in your own work context.

The aim of the activity is to develop the ability to read analytically and think critically about communication processes in education, with an emphasis on understanding the relationship between theoretical approaches and concrete situations in educational work. Pay special attention to:

  • how the authors define and interpret communication (e.g. as a process of exchanging meaning, a power relationship, a means of developing social skills or a tool for intercultural understanding)
  • the factors they highlight as key to successful communication
  • the obstacles and challenges they encounter in communication processes
  • the recommendations they give for improving communication in educational institutions.
