This e-course addresses the role of adapting teaching to the digital age, drawing on the objectives of national and European strategies for digital education. Participants will analyse teaching methods according to the level of ICT application. It is based on teaching methods in online and hybrid contexts and on the pedagogical, organisational and technical prerequisites for their implementation. Through project-oriented work, participants will develop skills in designing (inclusive) content and using e-learning tools, including content planning, communication and evaluation. 

In this e-course, intended for HEI employees, the following topics are covered:

  • the importance of adapting education to the digital age, national and European strategies and documents related to digital education
  • forms of teaching according to the level of application of information and communication technologies
  • teaching methods in classical, online and hybrid environments
  • prerequisites for teaching in online and hybrid environments
  • preparation and design of an effective learning environment
  • support for teachers and educators in the implementation of digital technologies in the educational process.

Objectives:

  • understand and analyse the framework of the digitally oriented educational process
  • training for planning and implementing classes in an online and hybrid environment
  • developing competencies for support and mentoring of fellow teachers related to educational technologies and their application.

Number of ECTS credits: 3

The expected workload of the participants for the activities in this e-course is 75 hours in total, which includes the following by units:

  • introduction: 45 minutes

  • the importance of adapting education to the digital age, national and European strategies, and documents related to digital education: 11 hours 35 minutes

  • forms of teaching according to the level of application of information and communication technologies: 8 hours 20 minutes

  • teaching methods in classical, online and hybrid environments: 7 hours 45 minutes

  • prerequisites for teaching in online and hybrid environments: 10 hours 10 minutes

  • support for teachers and educators in the implementation of digital technologies in the educational process: 8 hours

  • preparation and design of an effective learning environment: 27 hours 10 minutes

  • final section: 1 hour 15 minutes.
