This e-course deals with the design of communication in teaching and ways to select digital tools for collaboration. In addition to these digital tools, it also provides an overview of microlearning activities. Participants will learn the basics of using tools for holding online collaborative events in an educational context and how to try to solve the most common pedagogical problems using available digital technologies. Part of the e-course refers to the planning and implementation of online collaborative events and the application of analytics to evaluate the application of online tools. Participants will ultimately learn how to increase the visibility and popularize scientific and educational content, while respecting security and ethical standards.

How can digital technologies help us communicate better, collaborate more easily, and develop professionally? Many tools are available, from communication applications and videoconferencing to cloud - based collaboration, and our task is to help you use them in the best possible way. In this course, learn how to successfully organise online collaborative events, while avoiding the chaos caused by twenty microphones being turned on at the same time. Learn how to increase the visibility of your own work while r emaining within ethical and security standards, since professional development today means not only publishing your work, but also knowing how to effectively present it to the world. Through practical, project - oriented work, learn how to design digital c ontent, plan teaching, and support colleagues. In short, you will not only survive digital transformation, but flourish with its help. In this e-course, intended for teachers at HEI, the following topics are covered:

  • communication in teaching
  • selection and application of digital tools for communication and collaboration
  • use of digital technology for visibility and popularization
  • security and ethical aspects of the application of digital communication technologies
  • online collaborative events in an educational context
  • evaluation and monitoring of the impact of digital technologies
  • use of digital technologies for solving pedagogical problems.

Module objectives:

  • introduce students to available digital technologies (DT) for communication
  • teach students how to choose DTs appropriate for their own educational context
  • train students to create collaborative online educational events in teaching
  • enable students to conduct an evaluation of applied digital tools in the online educational process
  • teach students how to improve their own visibility and presence in relation to scientific and teaching (academic) work.

  • Introduction: 45 min
  • Communication in the classroom: 13 h 27 min
  • Selection and application of digital tools for communication and collaboration: 8 h 29 min
  • Online collaborative events in the educational context: 9 h 50 min
  • Using digital technologies to solve pedagogical problems: 8 h 13 min
  • Security and ethical aspects of the application of digital communication technologies: 8 h 25 min
  • Evaluation and monitoring of the impact of digital technologies: 10 h 35 min
  • Using digital technology for the visibility and popularization of one's own academic work: 14 h 6 min
  • Final section: 1 h 10 min.
