Video 2. Simple Online Meetings Without Installation - Jitsi Meet

If you're looking for a simple and secure way to hold an online meeting without the need for installation, account creation, or complications, try Jitsi Meet. It works directly from the browser, is open source, completely free, and also offers a free mobile app for iOS and Android. In the following video, we show you how to create a meeting. Invite participants and use key features such as screen sharing, chatting, hand raising, and recording the meeting. To get started, open your browsers and type https://meet.jit.si/ Then enter the meeting name, either one you choose, or a randomly generated one. Finally, click start meeting and the call will open automatically. No installation or registration is required. The process is quick and easy, making it ideal for both instructors and students. The next step is to invite participants and manage access. By clicking the "Invite Others" button, you generate a sharing link that you can send to others. This allows you to organize meetings, consultations, or lectures quickly and easily. Simply share the link with your students or colleagues. Once you have created a meeting, shared the link and started the session, the tool itself provides a range of features to support smooth communication. On the bottom toolbar, you can control the microphone, camera, and screen sharing. Sharing is simple. Click "Share your screen" and choose what you want to display the entire screen, a specific application or just a single browser tab. It is ideal for displaying presentations, documents, or web tools. The camera and microphone can be turned on and off at any time, which makes it easier to manage discussions. Chat allows participants to communicate without interrupting speech. Students can ask questions or leave comments during lectures. The raised hand function is used to signal questions or virtually "raise hand", which is perfect for a structured discussion. Tile view displays all participants in a grid layout, which is very useful for seminars. The background can be blurred or replaced to ensure the privacy of all participants. Jitsi also allows you to record the meeting, but the recording is saved exclusively to a connected Dropbox account. If enabled in settings, you can further adjust video quality language, microphone and camera. At the end of the meeting, clicking "Stop recording" stops the recording, and the recording is saved to your Dropbox account. Jitsi Meet is one of the most accessible tools for online communication. Considering that no installation is required, the technical barriers are reduced significantly. It can be used for any form of synchronous communication with an individual or group. Try today to schedule a consultation or meeting.
