Introduction

Self-assessment is a key step in the development of self-regulated learning among teachers, as it encourages reflection on one’s own competences, monitors progress, and guides professional development. Regular assessment of your own knowledge and skills enables you to identify areas in which you are already successful, as well as those competences that require further strengthening. On this basis, you can build your plan for continuous professional development by using available CARNET courses and other resources.

 1. Self-assessment of achieving the learning outcomes of the e-course “Learning Design”

For each learning outcome, assess your current level of achievement by selecting one of the three levels.

Learning outcome	1 – Beginner	2 – Advanced	3 – Expert
1. Explain the concept of learning design and instructional design.	☐	☐	☐
2. Apply an appropriate learning design and instructional design model for planning, development, and creation of learning materials, activities, and assessment.	☐	☐	☐

5. Align learning, teaching, and assessment activities with appropriate digital technologies.	☐	☐	☐

7. Evaluate digital technologies suitable for planning and delivering teaching in accordance with learning design.	☐	☐	☐

Level legend:
1 – Beginner: You are still becoming familiar with the concept/model.
2 – Advanced: You apply it with some support or adaptation.
3 – Expert: You independently design and guide others in its application.

If you have achieved the expert level in all learning outcomes – congratulations!

For learning outcomes in which you are still at the beginner level, we recommend reviewing the activities in the course in which these outcomes were developed and revisiting them. You may also consult the instructor on alternative ways to achieve these learning outcomes.

 Do not worry about learning outcomes in which you assessed yourself as advanced but not yet an expert. With practice and reflective teaching, you will soon reach an expert level in these areas as well.
