Open education can be considered an umbrella term for all the policies and practices of institutions and various initiatives that aim to expand access to quality educational programs and content beyond the framework or formal education. It enables everyone to learn anywhere at any time using any device and with anyone's support. The use of technology in education alone does not imply openness of educational materials, but it can be a key factor in accelerating that process. However, the use of technology in education has become an essential tool for improving the quality of the teaching and learning process. Open educational content encompasses learning, teaching, and research material, and all other educational materials that are publicly available or available under an open license. This allows free access to these materials and their use, adaptation and redistribution.
