The e-course Developing Digital Teaching Content is intended for higher education teachers and focuses on developing the competencies necessary for planning, designing, creating, and sharing digital teaching materials. Throughout this e-course, participants will learn how to define teaching outcomes, align them with assessment strategies, select and use appropriate tools for creating digital teaching materials (including multimedia and interactive elements) and evaluating achievements, and how to use and share educational content responsibly in accordance with ethical and legal standards. Special emphasis is placed on ensuring the quality, accessibility, and applicability of the created materials across different educational contexts.

The aim of the e-course is to enable participants to plan outcome-based teaching, link learning outcomes with teaching and assessment strategies, critically evaluate and select digital tools, create high-quality and functional digital teaching materials, apply legal and ethical standards when sharing content, and publish and integrate materials into a digital learning environment. The course addresses topics such as planning and designing digital teaching units, developing targeted educational messages, visual design, and adapting content for different users. Participants will adopt the use of multimedia and interactive elements, work with tools for content creation and assessment, and become familiar with ethical and legal aspects of sharing educational content, as well as integrating materials into learning management systems (LMS) and evaluating the user experience.

Learning Outcomes:

Define learning outcomes for a teaching topic, unit, or module within a course.
Align learning outcomes with learning and teaching activities and select appropriate tools for content delivery and assessment
Critically evaluate tools for creating digital content, including tools for knowledge assessment.
Create digital teaching content using appropriate digital tools.
Apply relevant regulations and standards, including licensing, when publishing digital teaching content.
Publish digital content in a selected learning management system and/or a digital content repository.
