Digital Repositories of Open Educational Resources

In this activity, you will explore digital repositories of Open Educational Resources (OERs) to become familiar with various types of freely available teaching materials that you can use or adapt for your own course.

This activity will help you discover high-quality resources and gain inspiration for creating your own digital teaching materials.

Instructions

1. Explore at least three different digital repositories from the provided list or find others that interest you.
2. Find five educational resources that you could potentially use in your course.

For each resource, record the following information:

• name and type of material
  (e.g., video, presentation, lesson, document, interactive activity…)

• source / repository where it was retrieved from

• topic and target audience
  (e.g., first-year informatics students)

• license under which the material is published
  (e.g., CC-BY, CC-BY-NC)

• potential application in your course
  (how you could use this resource or how you would adapt it)

Note

You do not need to submit this assignment at this stage, but the collected information will be used in the following tasks (you may use the provided template for note-taking).

Pay attention to the license of each material and record it, as this information will be important in the upcoming lessons where we will learn more about usage conditions and adapting educational resources.
