The e-course “Assessment Using Digital Technology” is designed to provide participants with insight into an important aspect of education and to help them assess students and monitor their progress. By using digital technology for assessment, educators can gain a deeper understanding of students’ learning processes and provide targeted support. In addition, digital technology enables automatic or semi-automatic grading, which can significantly save teachers’ time and resources. Digital technology–based assessment systems allow fast and accurate grading while simultaneously providing real-time feedback. By developing various types of tasks, tests, quizzes, and projects, digital technology enables the adaptation of assessment to individual needs and encourages critical thinking. The course highlights the importance of assessment using digital technology. Different methods and tools that can be used are considered, and the advantages, disadvantages, and challenges of digital technology–based assessment are explored. Assessment supported by digital technology can offer numerous benefits to all participants in the educational process, contributing to better understanding and overall success.

Learning and teaching are complex processes in which assessment plays a key, multifaceted role. It serves to support learning, and to evaluate the achieved results. Curriculum, teaching methods, and assessment form an inseparable triangle of effective education. Their mutual alignment is crucial for the success of the teaching process. In a digital environment, assessment is conducted through technology that enables fast, personalised, and continuous feedback, supporting structured and responsible learning. Assessment has a strong impact on student motivation. The way we assess often determines how and when students learn. Through this e-course, participants develop assessment literacy – the ability to reflect on the purpose of assessment, choose appropriate methods, and apply results to improve learning and teaching, all with the support of digital technology. Upon completion, participants will be able to independently create assessment programmes for their courses that guide students toward achieving th e planned learning outcomes. Through continuous reflection, professional collaboration, and analysis of their own practice, teachers can make informed educational decisions that lead to better learning and teaching. Become a teacher who builds better education through assessment. Proper assessment guides your students through the learning and teaching process, providing a motivating environment for achieving planned learning outcomes.
