In this activity, explore the suggested sources (below): listen to a podcast / watch a video / read additional materials on the importance of giving and receiving feedback in the educational process, with an emphasis on digital and collaborative environments.
Different types of feedback are addressed (formative, summative, automated, peer), their role in supporting learning, as well as the challenges involved in ensuring its high-quality implementation.
While listening, pay attention to:
-
features of effective feedback (timeliness, specificity, focus on improvement)
-
the difference between a grade and feedback
-
the psychological aspects of giving and receiving feedback
Task:
-
take notes summarising the key insights from the podcast
-
record a concrete example from your own practice where feedback had a significant impact on the learning process (positive or negative)
-
prepare a comment or question for further discussion
