Case Analysis: Challenges to Credibility

In this activity, examine selected real or simulated cases from practice that illustrate challenges in maintaining the credibility of assessment in digital environments. Use the cases from the previous activity, Challenges to the Credibility of Assessment in Digital Environments. The cases include situations related to academic misconduct, technical limitations, interpretation of results, and misalignment of assessment criteria.

Task:

• choose one of the provided cases and analyse it according to the given guidelines

• identify the key issues and the strategies that were used (or failed to be used) to preserve credibility

• reflect on how the approach could be improved and which measures would be applicable in a similar context

The analysis template includes:

1. a brief description of the challenge from the case

2. an assessment of the strategy used

3. a proposal for alternative solutions

4. a link to your own educational context

Instructor support is provided through feedback, additional questions, and by connecting the cases with the theoretical framework and relevant regulations (e.g., academic integrity, data protection).
