Instructions for the activity: Introductions of the participants and the instructor

In order to get to know each other, all participants take part in an introduction activity on the “Student and Instructor Introduction Forum”.

This activity provides an opportunity to connect, exchange experiences, and share thoughts on the application of artificial intelligence in education.

Before participating in the forum, you must do the following:

1. You need to create your own avatar – a visual representation that will represent you in this e-course – using one of the following artificial intelligence tools:

• Media.io AI Avatar Generator
• Mango AI – AI video generator
• Nero AI
• Fotor AI Avatar Generator
• ChatGPT or another randomly selected artificial intelligence tool or system.

Example: 

ChatGPT is a popular tool for creating avatars today, and when combined with the ability to generate images, it can create high-quality visuals based on your description. Simply enter a detailed text description of what you want to see, and the tool will create an image based on it.

For example, you can enter the following description:

“Turn my photo into a modern flat illustration of a professor leading a workshop on artificial intelligence in a classroom filled with digital tools and holograms. The style should be minimalist, with an emphasis on clean lines, geometric shapes, and pastel tones.”

Based on this description, the tool will generate an illustration that combines your appearance with modern digital design aesthetics.

You can also use this description when creating avatars with other tools and artificial intelligence systems.

These avatars can be used as illustrations for professional profiles, cover images for e-courses, or promotional materials for workshops and lectures on artificial intelligence, with attribution.

2. You need to set an avatar (in one of the following ways):

• In your user profile on the Loomen platform or
• Attach it as an attachment to a forum post.

3. You need to create a forum post titled with your name and surname (e.g., Ana Horvat).

    In the post, please include:

• A brief description of the avatar (up to 3 sentences): how it represents you and what it symbolises,
• Professional interests related to the application of artificial intelligence in education,
• Expectations for the Artificial Intelligence in Education e-course,
• Motivation for participating in this e-course.

Recommended forum post length: up to 150 words.

Note: The orientation meeting via the BigBlueButton videoconferencing system is intended for additional clarifications, introductions to the instructor and other participants, and answers to questions about the e-course.
