Activity description:
Adaptation of educational text using artificial intelligence tools
In this activity, you will adapt educational content using the artificial intelligence tool Diffit.me, which enables the creation of texts tailored to different levels of students' prior knowledge. The goal of this task is to develop the ability to differentiate teaching materials and apply digital tools to support an inclusive and personalised approach to learning.
The task requires creating at least two versions of the same text, intended for students with different levels of prior knowledge (e.g., foreign students, students with learning disabilities, advanced students). Both versions must be submitted in PDF format.
Procedure:
-
Text selection
-
Select content that you use in your educational environment (e.g., an excerpt from a textbook, a teaching script, a scientific article, or other relevant material).
-
-
Tool preparation
- Load the selected text into Diffit.me, an artificial intelligence-based tool for generating customised text content. The tool allows for automatic adaptation of complexity, vocabulary, and text length for different groups of students.
-
Generating versions
- Create at least two different versions of the text, adapted to different student profiles.
-
-
Example:
-
A basic version of the educational content for students with limited prior knowledge or language difficulties,
-
An advanced version of the educational content for students with a higher level of understanding of the topic.
-
-
4. Creating a document
-
- Save both versions of the text in PDF format. If necessary, you may add a title page or a brief introduction explaining the context and goal of the adaptation.
- Download the created versions of the text in PDF format.
5. Submitting solutions
-
- Upload the PDF documents via the link: SOLUTION SUBMISSION.
