Write a report on the learning outcomes of the course in which you are a teacher (or of a selected course if you are not currently teaching).
The report must include:
- a list of learning outcomes and their relative weights
- an explanation of how the weights of the learning outcomes were estimated and how they depend on criteria that include: importance in relation to the study programme learning outcomes, students’ prior knowledge, and labour market needs
- an explanation if any additional criteria were used to assess the weights
To write the report, use the Guidelines for estimating the weights of learning outcomes, which are based on the following literature:
Divjak, B., Kadoić, N., Žugec, B. The Use of Decision-Making Methods to Ensure Assessment Validity // 2021 IEEE Technology & Engineering Management Conference – Europe (TEMSCON-EUR) 2021, pp. 386–391. Divjak, Kadoić, Žugec, IEEE, 2021.
Divjak, B., Svetec, B., Rienties, B., Astles, P., Matthews, C., Tillmann, A., Eichhorn, M., Schmitt, J, Prioritizing Learning Outcomes in Different Learning Design Contexts // 35th International Scientific Conference CECIIS 2024, pp. 333–340. Divjak et al., CECIIS, 2024
The instructor and one participant will evaluate the report according to the following criteria:
- the learning outcomes are correctly written and appropriate for the specific group of students
- elements that influence the weight of the outcomes are taken into account (these elements include: the level of the outcome in a taxonomy, its importance within the study programme and for employability, and the expected student workload)
- the relative relationship between the course learning outcomes is meaningful and justified.
