In this activity, you will design a digital teaching resource tailored to a specific user profile, demonstrating the application of principles of personalisation, accessibility, and visual design in practice.
This task connects the knowledge you gained in previous activities and requires you to create a pedagogically meaningful and visually adapted resource that meets the specific needs of your students.
Instructions
Choose a user profile for which you will adapt the content, for example:
-
beginners,
-
visual learners,
-
students with dyslexia,
-
adult learners who study alongside work,
-
students with insufficient prior knowledge,
-
students from diverse linguistic or cultural backgrounds.
Select a topic from your course and choose a digital tool for creating the resource (e.g., H5P, Google Slides, Canva, Genially,…).
Create a digital learning resource (e.g., a lesson, infographic, quiz, interactive activity) that:
-
has a clearly defined learning outcome;
-
is visually and technically adapted to the chosen user profile;
-
is accessible (e.g., appropriate contrast, readable fonts, alternative text).
Fill in the template where you will indicate:
-
the title and type of the created resource;
-
a description of the user profile for whom the content is adapted;
-
the learning outcome the resource supports;
-
an explanation of the adaptations you implemented (visual, structural, content-related, technical);
-
a link to the resource if created in an online tool, or attach the file via this activity.
Submission
Use the provided template to complete this task. Submit your work as a Word document or PDF through this activity.
Include links to the created materials (if they are published online) in the Word/PDF document, or attach the files within the LMS.
Submission deadline: ______________________
Peer Assessment
After submitting your work, you will participate in peer review of your colleagues’ assignments.
Your task is to:
-
review the submission of at least one colleague;
-
analyse it according to the defined criteria;
-
write constructive feedback (what is good, what could be improved).
The instructor will also review all submissions and provide additional comments.
Assessment Criteria
Clarity of the user profile
• Is the profile clearly described and justified?
Alignment with the learning outcome
• Is the resource aligned with a clearly defined learning outcome?
Adaptation to user needs
• Are the adaptations concrete and appropriate for the selected profile?
Accessibility and inclusivity
• Is the resource technically and visually accessible to diverse users?
Use of digital tool and technical execution
• Is the tool used effectively and pedagogically justified?
Quality and clarity of the material
• Is the content clear, visually appealing, and easy to use?
