3. Structure of e-course
The e-course consists of six thematic units. The following table shows the percentage by which each of the six topics contributes to a particular learning outcome at the e-course level.

Structure of the e-course and learning outcomes at the level of topics:
- Topic 1: The importance of adapting education to the digital age, national and European strategies, and documents related to digital education
This section will cover the following topics: Digital transformation in education; National and European strategies and documents related to digital education; Quality assurance of education in the digital age.
The objectives of this unit are: introduce participants to the current state of digital transformation in the Croatian educational context; introduce participants to the strategic framework and documents; briefly introduce participants to the system of quality assurance of education in the digital age. - Topic 2: Forms of teaching according to the level of application of information and communication technologies
This section will cover the following topics: Integration of digital technologies into the educational process; Forms of teaching according to the level of application of ICT; E-learning as a new educational paradigm.
The objectives of this unit are: provide participants with information about available digital educational technologies; teach participants how to recognise the levels of ICT application in the educational process; give participants a brief overview of e-learning. - Topic 3: Teaching methods in classical, online and hybrid environments
This section will cover the following topics: Contemporary pedagogical approaches; Collaboration in an online environment.
The objectives of this unit are: provide a brief overview of methods and theories that support a contemporary pedagogical approach; reinforce the importance of collaboration in an online educational context; address ethical issues and academic integrity in an online educational context at higher education institutions. - Topic 4: Prerequisites for teaching in an online and hybrid environment
This section will cover the following topics: Organisational prerequisites; Personnel prerequisites; Technical prerequisites; Inclusion in an online environment.
The objectives of this unit are: provide participants with insight into the necessary prerequisites for planning and adapting online and hybrid teaching; provide an overview of the basic digital competencies needed by a higher education teacher; further promote inclusion in the online environment. - Topic 5: Support for teachers and educators in the implementation of digital technologies in the educational process
This section will cover the following topics: Education of teaching staff for the effective use of digital tools in teaching; Support for teachers and educators for the use of DT in teaching.
The objectives of this unit are: provide participants with insight into organising systematic support for teachers (at the higher education institution level and at the national level); to familiarise participants with possible educational activities before implementing hybrid and online teaching. - Topic 6: Preparation and design of an effective learning environment
This section will cover the following topics: Instructional design methods; Course content management: planning and examples of good practice; Use of assessment tools within the LMS; Communication and interaction with students; Creation of educational activities and e-courses in the Moodle LMS.
The objectives of this unit are: familiarize participants with instructional design methods and examples of good practice; introduce students to the evaluation and use of tools available within the LMS; explain the value of a systematic approach to communicating with students in an online environment; provide students with the opportunity to actively demonstrate what they have learned in the e-course through practical work on the Moodle LMS (Loomen); enable students to present the results of their practical work to other students.
