3. Pedagogical and Technical Elements
Effective digital teaching content is based on constructive alignment (Biggs, 1999) — meaning it is aligned with learning outcomes, teaching and learning activities, and assessment. In other words, every piece of teaching content should be designed to clearly articulate what students are expected to learn (outcomes), how they will achieve it (activities), and how their knowledge and skills will be assessed (assessment).
In a digital environment, this means that pedagogical elements and technical elements work together to ensure that the content is not only informative, but also meaningful, engaging, and accessible to all learners.
