Problem-based learning (PBL)

Problem-based learning starts with a complex, open-ended problem without a predetermined solution, where students map what they know and what they need to learn, formulate hypotheses, and iteratively test ideas. Typical steps in implementing problem-based learning include: scenario analysis, problem formulation, research plan, source collection and evaluation, solution testing, and reflection.
